I’ve just returned from an amazing trip up Mount Stampol. Jen was our guide, along with two wonderful porters who joined us for the journey. Jen and the porters were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience truly special. The food they prepared was delicious, and by the time we reached the mountain camp, the tents were already set up — which was perfect, as it was pouring down with rain for the last hour. I honestly have nothing to complain about and would recommend this trip to anyone. Just keep in mind that the climb is quite steep! 😊

on a opté pour le trek de 3 jours avec l'ascension du Rinjani. c'est dur physiquement mais le jeux en vaut vraiment la chandelle.un voyage dans le voyage. Toute l'équipe d'Authentic Rinjani est très compétente et bienveillante. mention spéciale à notre guide Rendi au top et un grand respect aux porteurs Joe and cungkring qui sont aux petits soins et cuisine des plats délicieux. bravo. en résumé, une expérience incroyable que vous n'oublierez pas !

This was my first time completing a multi day hike. The team at Authentic Rinjani made it very clear what we were going to be achieving and in what time frame before we set off on day one.Everything was organised for us by our guides and porters so all we had to worry about was making it to the top.This was the hardest trek I've ever done but by far the most rewarding. 10/10 would do it again, especially through this company who took away all the stresses that come with a multi-day hike.Would highly recommend!!

Our guide, Randi, and porters (Johandi and Guen) were brilliant – really looking after us as we found it was a really challenging hike. The food was delicious and camping equipment was super clean and cosy. We loved the eco-friendly approach – each planting a tree during the climb up and the porters picked up a full bag of litter each on the way down – loved that! We had an absolutely amazing experience trekking to the summit of Mt. Rinjani! Our guide, Kas, was fantastic—always attentive, patient, and full of encouragement when the climb got tough. The porters were just as wonderful and turned out to be incredible chefs! Every meal was delicious and far exceeded our expectations, especially considering we were high up in the mountains.After reaching the summit, we returned to camp and planted two trees as part of the reforestation effort, which was such a meaningful way to give back. We were also really impressed by the team’s commitment to sustainability—every bit of waste was carefully collected and taken back to the village for proper disposal.Overall, an unforgettable adventure with a team that truly cares about both their guests and the environment. Danke für dieses tolle Erlebnis am Mount Rinjani Guide Rendi mit Rames, Jarek und Deli. Die Tour ist absolut beeindruckend und durch das tolle Team hat es doppelt so viel Spaß gemacht. Wir haben die 4D3N Tour gebucht und können das nur jedem ans Herz legen. Insgesamt sind viele Teile der Wanderung doch sehr anstrengend und so war alles auf mehre Tage aufgeteilt und man hatte viel Zeit, die Natur richtig zu genießen. Auch für das gesamte Team ist diese Variante viel entspannter. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit alle aus unserem Team kennenzulernen, was das Erlebnis für uns noch besonderer gemacht hat. Tolles Essen, absolut bequemes Equipment und gute Führung. Wir haben uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicher und gut betreut gefühlt.Wir werden diese Tour mit Rendi niemals vergessen.Sogar der Abschied von Rendi, Rames, Jarek und Deli ist uns etwas schwer gefallen nach der intensiven Zeit zusammen. Wir haben eine Tour zur Spitze des Rinjanis gemacht (2 Tage/1Nacht). Die Tour war sehr gut organisiert und unser Guide Rendy hat sich super um uns gekümmert. Besonders dankbar waren wir für das tolle Essen, das unsere Porter zubereitet haben. Es ist auf jeden Fall nicht nötig eigene Snacks mitzubringen. Insgesamt war es wirklich ein einmaliges Erlebnis!

I can only share positive feedback about everything — from the communication to the organization and friendliness, everything was perfect. I had paid a deposit for the trekking tour but unfortunately had a health issue and had to cancel. They even refunded my deposit, which is really not something you can take for granted. Everything went smoothly, and I’m very grateful for their kindness. I can absolutely recommend this company based on my experience so far. 😊👍🏻

Jen muy profesional y preocupado por el servicio que brinda. La noche anterior al ascenso dormimos en el alojamiento brindado por la empresa, todo nuevo y limpio. Nuestro guía fue increíble y la comida fue muchísimo mejor de lo que esperábamos para estar en la montaña, deliciosa y abundante. Tanto la bolsa de dormir, la carpa y los colchones en muy buen estado y super comodos. Destaco tambien el profesionalismo y la simpatia de los choferes. En general, una experiencia 10/10. Recomendamos esta empresa al 100 % si estás pensando en subir al Rinjani. Gracias por hacerlo tan especial. ¡Volveríamos sin dudarlo!

I did the 2D/1N crater rim hike and had the best experience. Jen was a very kind guide and the porter was doing an incredible job. They found a perfect spot for camping although we were quite late and they were cooking the best meals in the middle of the national park which is incredible. The hike was pretty accurate to the descriptions on the website and it is so worth it for the view but for the whole experience as well.

Alles seriös, zuverlässig, nett und exzellente! 🙂Wir haben zu zweit eine private Wanderung gebucht auf den Mount Rinjani + Second Summit. Unser Guide Zamroni suuuper nett und entspannt!Die Organisation war absolut reibungslos. Wir sind am Hafen abgeholt worden, haben alle Infos bekommen und konnten vor Ort übernachten. Am nächsten Morgen ging es los – alles was wir noch brauchten (zB Handschuhe und Wanderstöcke) wurde uns gestellt. Es gab mehr als genug Verpflegung auf der Tour!! Für die Übernachtung oben ist auch gesorgt. Selbst am nächsten Tag zur nächsten Location auf Lombok wurden wir gefahren.Die Tour lohnt sich! Es ist kein Spaziergang aber beeindruckend ☀️Unsere Empfehlung geht raus 🙂

​We had an excellent 2-Day 2nd Summit Tour with Authentic Rinjani! 🤩 The organization was professional, and everything went smoothly. ​A huge thank you to our great team: Kas was a very good guide, and the porters Hadi and Ery provided us with very delicious food and worked incredibly hard. ​The sunrise from the 2nd Summit was breathtaking and a real highlight!! 😍 ​We can highly recommend Authentic Rinjani without hesitation.

We had such an incredible time on the 2D/1N crater rim trek. From start to finish everything was run very smoothly – from arranging the taxi pick up from the airport, to meeting us at the hotel the night before for our briefing, to helping us rent warm jackets, and making us feel safe and looked after throughout the entire trek. Our guide Rendi was so much fun and really made our experience amazing – such a cool dude. The food was also very good and lots of fruit and snacks were provided as well. The porters were also incredible and managed to secure us the best camping spot for the view and shelter from the wind. An excellent experience and couldn’t recommend authentic Rinjani more!

I booked a shared 2d1n tour to the crater rim, but no one else signed up for my dates, so I got a private tour with no extra charge. The briefing on the night before was informative and I felt well prepared for the hike. My guide Nabil was very patient and had plenty of snacks and water available for me throughout the trip. All food cooked by the porter was delicious and the views at the end of the hike were definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I did the 4D 3N trip Sembalun up and the down Torean. I can’t recommend this company enough, our guide Kas was great, he was very patient with me even if I walk a little slower and had a great positive attitude. He really took good care of his team and offered everyone support when they needed it. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the route was incredible. We really appreciate that they are zero waste and bring all the trash down with them, I wish more companies would follow their example.

Tout simplement génial !!! Un guide qui nous a rejoint la veille pour nous expliquer l organisation. Toute son équipe etait au petit soin avec nous et s est adapté à notre rythme. L ascension au cratère etait prévu entre 6 à 8h. Afin d éviter le monde , nous avons conjointement demandé à partir vers 4h30 du matin . Nous avons atteint le cratère en 4h avec les pauses. Notre guide avait emporté avec lui eau, snacks, repas du midi en quantité largement suffisante. Nous (2) seuls avec notre guide, un treck qui vaut le détour . Je ne peux que les recommander si vous souhaitez une ascension adaptée à vous . L ensemble de l équipe est souriante et extrêmement attentionnée! Un très très grand merci à tous ! Very happy that I chose Authenic Rinjani for my trek. The hike is hard, so you appreciate things like the nice tents, mats and sleeping bags, good food and chairs/tables (not all other groups had that). Our guide Rendi was great and made lots of jokes to keep a good spirit during the tough uphills. I wasn't the fastest so he made sure to leave a bit earlier for the summit so I could make it in time for sunrise. He even carried half of my clothes for a few hours because I was really tired. Their communication and organisation was really good and I was glad that I could do the Torean trek as other companies wouldn't let me book alone, and this route was really stunning.

Had a great 3D2N trekking experience with Authentic. Our guide Rendi is a funny guy and reliable, really helped me a lot on the difficult parts of the trail. Our porters are nice, always managed to cook delicious meals and snacks. Mgmt team is also good in communications before trip, responsive and efficient. Excellent organisation and great vibe

We booked the 3D2N private tour with Authentic Rinjani and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning the communication was excellent. All of our questions were answered quickly and clearly. Our guide Kas was fantastic. He always made sure we were doing well, supported us on the way up and motivated us to reach the summit. The food was delicious and freshly prepared every day. We also received snacks in between and always had enough drinking water. Nothing was missing and everything was very well organized. At the end we even received a personalized keychain as a small souvenir for reaching the summit. This was such a thoughtful gesture and made us very happy. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we can highly recommend Authentic Rinjani to anyone planning to hike Mount Rinjani.Warm greetings from Germany and thank you to the whole team for making this journey so special.

Update (2025): I finally did Rinjani with Authentic Rinjani, and it was incredible! Our guide, Yusup, was amazing so thoughtful, patient, and always matching our pace without ever rushing. He made sure we had plenty of breaks, water, and snacks, and that we always felt safe and comfortable. He also has a great sense of humor and was so nice to trek with him!The porters deserve a huge shout-out too!! unbelievably strong, always ahead of us carrying heavy loads, and still cooking amazing food at every stop. They made sure we had everything we needed and were as comfortable as possible on the mountain.Truly the best experience!! thank you again Authentic Rinjani for making both Anak Dara and Rinjani unforgettable adventures! 🙏—————————————————————— I originally booked the Rinjani trek with Authentic Rinjani but unfortunately, the park was temporarily closed. The team immediately offered me an alternative: a 2D1N trek to Anak Dara Hill (and honestly, I do not regret it one bit)From the very start, the team was amazing. The booking process was simple, and they were always available to answer any questions, whether through WhatsApp or Instagram. Their website is also super clear and has all the info you need.I stayed one night at one of their accommodations before the trek (spotless clean, great location near lots of restaurants, and a delicious breakfast included) Couldn’t have asked for better!!!On the first morning, Randy, one of the guides, took me on a mini hike to visit two beautiful waterfalls. He was incredibly kind and always made sure I was okay.Later that afternoon, I began the Anak Dara trek with Jen as my guide and Jared as our porter. Both were amazing, super professional, friendly, and fun to be around. The hike itself is relatively short (around two hours to the top), but don’t let that fool you it’s very steep! 😂 Still, the views are 100% worth the climb. I would say maybe it’s a good tryout before Rinjani ? So you have a little taste of what’s it like 😂The food they cooked during the trek was honestly so good and more than enough. Plus, they made sure I had plenty of water and snacks the whole time.I’m really happy I chose Authentic Rinjani, and once the national park reopens, I’ll definitely be booking my Rinjani trek with them.Thank you so much to the whole Authentic Rinjani team!! you made this experience truly special! 🙏

I recently completed the 3D2N trek up Mount Rinjani with Authentic Rinjani, and it was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. The experience was challenging but absolutely rewarding, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide us through it.Our guide, Yusup, was fantastic: knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly encouraging. He knew the mountain like the back of his hand, set a pace that kept us motivated, and always made sure we were safe and comfortable. His positive energy really lifted our spirits, especially during the tougher parts of the climb.The unsung heroes of the trek were the porters, who amazed us with their strength and endurance. They carried heavy loads up and down steep trails with ease, while still managing to arrive ahead of us and prepare delicious meals at each stop. Their cooking was far better than I ever expected on a mountain; warm, hearty, and exactly what we needed after long hours of hiking. The campsites were always set up perfectly, and we felt well taken care of the entire way.The trek itself was tough: steep ascents, rocky paths, and chilly nights, but the views made it all worthwhile. Watching the sunrise from the summit and gazing over the crater lake were moments I’ll never forget.Overall, I can’t recommend Authentic Rinjani enough. The organization, the care, and especially the people (thank you, Jaini, Yusup and team!) made this one of the best experiences of my life. If you’re thinking about climbing Rinjani, do it with Authentic Rinjani, you’ll be in great hands.

Clues in the name – really felt like an authentic experience. Did the 3D2N: the guides were funny, the food was tasty and tents/ sleeping bags were surprisingly comfy! I got to the hostel quite early the day before and the company owner (Jen) arranged for one of the guides to take me to the waterfalls and around his hometown which I really appreciated. Pre tour communication with Jen was good, he answered all my questions.A few things could have been improved (but did not takeaway from the experience): – protein: would have really like some (more) meat with meals (most meals had no meat or protein), especially seen as I paid more for the better package. – On tour communication: was told groups would be no more than 6 but was 7. Not an issue for me but could be for other travellers. – Route: a couple of our group were struggling after the summit push so we had to change our route on day 2. It would have been nice to still be able to continue with our original route but this was not an option.Overall highly recommend if you want to help support a friendly local tour company! 😁

Ich habe die 3D2N-Tour von Sembalun nach Torean mit Authentic Rinjani gemacht – alles war top organisiert und sehr unkompliziert, vom Transfer vor und nach der Tour, Ausleihen von Wanderstöcken bis zur Aufbewahrung des Gepäcks. Die Unterkunft vor der Wanderung war überraschend hochwertig – ich hatte eher mit Hostel-Standard gerechnet.Das erste Camp lag abseits der anderen Gruppen in bester Lage, was es sehr privat gemacht hat. Leider war es sehr bewölkt, daher kein Sonnenuntergang oder Blick auf den See. Das Zelt war überraschend komfortabel mit Matratze, Kissen und warmem Schlafsack – ich habe nachts nicht gefroren.Da eine andere Person kurzfristig abgesagt hat, hatte ich sogar einen Guide für mich allein. Er war sehr fürsorglich und hat mir zum Beispiel seine Stirnlampe geliehen, als meine ausfiel und auf dem sehr kalten Gipfel sogar seinen Schlafsack überlassen, da wir zu früh/zu schnell oben waren.Das Essen war immer super lecker und ausreichend. Beim Wasser wurde eher knapp kalkuliert – ich musste mir noch eine (leider teure: 60k) Flasche kaufen. Andererseits: Was die Porter ohnehin schon alles tragen, ist absolut beeindruckend – da kann man das nachvollziehen.Tag 1 & 3 war für mich problemlos machbar, Tag 2 hingegen war selbst für mich als fitte Sportlerin sehr herausfordernd – von 2 Uhr nachts bis 16 Uhr nachmittags unterwegs, mit nur 1 Stunde Pause nach dem Gipfel, bevor es weiterging. Da wäre etwas mehr Regeneration schön gewesen.Insgesamt eine einmalige Erfahrung und ich kann Authentic Rinjani auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen – danke an das ganze Team! 🙏

Unfortunately, Rinjani sudden closure due to safety and trail maintenance after booking flights cancelled our plans. Arranged alternative hiking and waterfall itinerary with Jen. Thank you Jen and Randy for being terrific guides up the Sembalun 7 hills. It was a shame that Rinjani national park was closed during our time in Lombok, but Authentic Rinjani was able to make amendments to our plan to accommodate 2 other mountains (Pergasingan and Anak Dara) instead.Booking experience was smooth with prompt communications from Jen and his team. During the actual climb, Jen and Randy were engaging, funny and helpful. There was no problem talking with them in English. The food was freshly prepared and bussin'. Camping experience was fun and they go beyond to make sure you are as comfy as you can be (in a tent).In conclusion, if I were to summarise the experience in one word, it would be "MANTAP". Great experience! Our guide were extremely knowledgeable about the area and very fun to hang out with 🙂 Food was freshly cooked local cuisine, and there were plenty of snacks/drinks to go around.

Pre hike: Communication, booking and queries with Jen are promptly addressed. Jen is also experienced in managing changes and communicated swiftly with me. Pickup from airport to Senaru Village was seamless. Jen also provided the briefing at my late arrival at the accommodation.From morning pickup to medical checkup, registration, everything is done seamlessly. I was taken care by a guide and two porters (additional porter hired on request). Food was generously prepared of which I later communicated on my preference (small portion and lighter food). I chose the 3D2N Torean route, but since I took a long time to complete the summit + my body was feeling fatigue, my hike was adjusted to descend at Sembalun route, giving me more time to rest. My guide was alert on my condition and provided timely suggestion. I was also well taken care in challenging sections.Post hike, was well taken care of from sending to the next destination, collection of luggage, digital certification and a warm send off.I am a solo traveler joining a group tour, however due to changes, I was the only one left and became a private tour. Due to that, additional expense on transport is incurred but I didn't mind.Authentic Rinjani has helped me to achieve this bucket list of mine since 2018. And also an environment conscious company collecting trash at the base camp.Note to hikers: To ensure a good fitness level, be very self motivated yet aware of your body, communicate your needs to the guide and porters.

Nous avons fait le trek sur 3 jours et, bien que l’effort physique soit intense, nous avons que très peu subi tant la bienveillance et la bonne humeur étaient au rendez vous dans notre team et grâce aux porteurs! Les paysages sont magnifiques, entre levés et couchés de soleil, on repart avec des souvenirs pleins la tête 😍🥹

Four of us completed a 3D2N trek from 17–19 June, and the overall experience was exceptional. The equipment and services provided were top-notch—comfortable chairs, tables, tents, bed mats, sleeping bags, and delicious meals. Our porters were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout.A special mention goes to Ipul (porter) and Randy (guide), who kindly helped lighten my load by carrying some of my items in their backpacks during the ascent. Both spoke reasonably good English, which made communication easy. Ipul has great potential and could certainly be trained to become a guide in the future.Hengki was another standout—an exceptionally attentive porter who accompanied us all the way to the summit. With improved English skills, he too could become a great guide and serve more hikers in the future.The food throughout the trek was unexpectedly amazing—especially considering it was all prepared out in the field. Hot coffee and ginger tea were always ready at our meal stops, which we greatly appreciated in the freezing cold weather.Having an experienced guide like Randy made a huge difference. I encountered an unexpected incident during the descent to Torean, and Randy was quick to step in and resolve the situation—he truly saved the day. It’s wise to let your guide know who the weakest member of your group is; Randy did just that and kept a close eye, offering mental encouragement during steep sections—some of which were as steep as 60–70°. At times, we were literally scrambling on all fours to get through.Randy and Jen were also very accommodating and allowed us to adjust our route mid-way. Although we initially planned a different route, we ended up taking the Sembalun – Summit – Torean trail, finishing on the third afternoon after passing a hot spring. While we missed the lake and waterfall due to time constraints, the Torean route still offered an unforgettable variety of scenery—waterfalls, river crossings, and more.While the 3D2N package is doable, I would recommend the 4D3N option, especially for first-timers or less experienced hikers, to truly enjoy the beauty of Mt. Rinjani and avoid a rushed experience.One more highlight—not to be missed—is the natural spring water from Mt. Rinjani. It was ice-cold, sweet, and refreshingly pure—tasting like real, untreated H₂O. Be sure to refill your bottle at these natural sources whenever possible.Finally, kudos to our fearless and skilled driver who got us to the harbour just in time to catch our last ferry back to Bali. It was the perfect end to a challenging but deeply rewarding adventure.

I did the 3D/2N trek with Authentic Rinjani and it was an unforgettable experience! The agency is very professional — they picked me up from Bangsal port, and I spent the first night before the treck in a beautiful hotel with a stunning view of the forest.The guides were skilled and super friendly, and the porters were incredibly kind. The trek can be tough at times, so it’s not for everyone, but our guide was always there to support us.I recommend this adventure, as long as you’re well prepared (good hiking boots and warm clothes). Our 3-day, 2-night Rinjani trek was an incredible experience! It was definitely a challenge for both body and mind, but the journey was so rewarding. Our first night's accommodation was lovely, boasting a beautiful view of Rinjani as we enjoyed breakfast before our long trekking journey. Correcte afspraken die allemaal worden nagekomen. Via whatsapp wordt er zeer snel gereageerd en een oplossing gezocht. Ons gezin met 2 jongvolwassenen hebben genoten (en afgezien) van de trip naar de Rinjani Crater Rim. De porters en de gids waren immens vriendelijk en hebben ons voldoende voorzien van water, frisdrank, koeken en maaltijden. We hadden op de kraterrand de beste spot ( volgens ons) voor onze tenten dus dank u authentic Rinjani voor deze onvergetelijke ervaring. Eén tip: onderschat deze wandeling toch niet, haalbaar maar gezond afzien !!!

We had an amazing experience with this company. We did the 3D2N Rinjani trek, and not only was the hike smooth, but we also loved their “zero waste” mission, they collect all the rubbish we may generate from the mountain, and even a bit more.Our guide and porters were experienced, kind, and empathetic. They fed us delicious and fancy meals throughout the entire hike.Before the hike, our flight was delayed, but they still picked us up from the airport and drove us 2.5 hours to our accommodation at 2 am (which was a very nice place too). Unfortunately, my partner got sick that day, so we had to postpone the hike by a day. It wasn’t a problem for the company, they even let us stay the extra night free of charge.When my partner got worse, they kindly took us to the doctor for a check-up. We are truly grateful for their support.After we finished the hike, they drove us another 2.5 hours to the hostel we had booked.We left feeling tired but very happy. Wir hatten ein tolles Erlebnis beim Rinjani-Trekking auf der 2D1N Tour. Alles war von Beginn an hervorragend organisiert und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Unser Guide war sehr nett, hat gut Englisch gesprochen und auch die Porter waren super. Alles wurde top für uns vorbereitet und wir mussten uns um nichts kümmern. Das Essen war mehr als ausreichend, liebevoll hergerichtet und wie in einem Restaurant. Auch das Camping war super vorbereitet und die Schlafsäcke schön warm. Für uns war die Crater Rim Tour perfekt, absolut machbar und man bekommt tolle Aussichten auch ohne auf dem Summit gewesen zu sein. Nach der Tour wurden wir zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft auf Lombok gebracht, was sehr angenehm war.Vielen Dank Authentic Rinjani für die unvergessliche Zeit!

Einfach nice.Die Crater Rim Tour ist optimal für alle fitten Leute. Wer wirklich fit speziell in Mountaineering ist kann die Summit Tour machen. Ansonsten kann ich nur davon abraten. Ich bin Fechter und hab dicke Wadeln, aber nur von der Crater Rim Tour tut mir alles weh.Schuhwerk muss nicht speziell sein für die Crater Rim Tour. Laufschuhe reichen.Den Portern bitte gutes Trinkgeld geben. Ohne die läuft gar nichts am Berg!

One of the main goals for our 30 days holiday was to hike the Rinjani volcano. We wanted to go on a 3 days 2 nights hike so we were really patient with choosing the right company. After reading all the reviews we decided on Authentic Rinjani. They provided us a transfer from Tetebatu to Senaru. The evening before the trek we had a briefing, at our accommodation they also provided, where we got all the information and we borrowed poles and headlights. In the morning we met our guide Kas together with our porters. The trek was not easy but if you have a sports background it is possible to do. Our porters always chose the best spot for camping and they cooked delicious food. Our Guide Kas always checked the situation, he was there ready to help and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The whole trek was beautiful and we are happy that we chose Authentic Rinjani. We wish them all the best and we look forward to coming back.

Truly recommend Jen and authentic Rinjani company. We had amazing experience, choosing 3days 2nights from Sembalun to Torean with Rinjani Summit. The road was stunning, especially I would recommend to everyone coming back through Torean. The guide Rendi with all the porters were extremely helpful, kind and we had super funny time even though it wasn’t an easy hike. We didn’t have all equipment but Jen helped us to rent hiking gear in nearby stores 🙂 we had plenty of warm food and drinks, and for sure we will come back for another hike ☺️ thank you!!!!

I did the 2D1N Seranu Crater Rim hike, and it was amazing! The views were insane!Kass, our guide, was so friendly and made sure everyone was feeling great.Hadi and Ery, our porters, were always so fast and always smiling even while caring such a heavy load.And we were able to organize it last minute and they were so flexible and easy to deal with.I would recommend everyone to contact them if you want to hike up Mount Rinjani.

It was a great experience. We booked the 2D/1N premium tour to the crater rim. All communication beforehand via WhatsApp went very well. We chose the Rinjani Lodge as our pre-hike accommodation, which we can recommend to anyone who wants a bit of rest and relaxation before the hike. Since we aren't in great shape, the tour was a big challenge for us, but when we reached the rim, it was overwhelming and absolutely worth seeing. Our guide helped us a lot with the climb. The porters also did a fantastic job, and all the meals were delicious and plentiful. The descent was also very difficult for us because of the rain and the slippery ground. But we don't regret anything and are grateful for this experience.

We had an amazing experience with Authentic Rinjani! Transportation to and from was smooth and the including accommodation the night before was helpful. You can rent good camping equipment like warm clothes and walking sticks / head lamp. The hike itself was so beautiful, made even better by our wonderful local guides Ahmad and Owl and of course our porters! They cooked us vey delicious meals and take care about us all the time. I highly recommend this company if you want an „authentic“ and memorable trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Authentic Rinjani.We were a team of 5 trekkers, led by 2 guides (Toni and Rendi) and 7 porters (2 additional porters which we requested for our baggage). Both our guides were really friendly and encouraging (not only with us but also with other trekkers / guides / porters along the way). Their high spirits kept the group morale high all the way and we eventually all conquered the summit too 🙂 They were also very mindful of our safety and constantly looked out for us, giving us tips on what dangers to look out for and walking tips for less effort so we can go far together.Jen also made the entire booking process easy for us (down-payment of 25% with remaining payment on day 0). He also arranged for us to all have rented hiking poles and the additional porters on day 0. Eventually when we decided to complete our 4d3n trek in day 3, he was also able to make the necessary arrangement for us to do so.

We booked the 2d1n crater rim tour and had a very good experience. Our guide and porters made every effort to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. They provided good quality camping equipment and cooked nutritious, tasty meals for us. The whole team was very flexible and made sure to accommodate our wishes. We undertook a trek with Authentic Rinjani for a 2 day 1 night package during May 2-may3 2025. The booking was last minute but we were able to get through the process in a smooth fashion. The package was comprehensive and included a pickup from Lombok Stay, a stay in a guest house/hotel before the day of the trek. Our guide, Tony is a fantastic young man who was very nice and courteous and made sure we were well hyderated and comfortable during the hike. The hike does get difficult as it progresses but the team made sure that we are well fed, motivated and hydrated throughout. The food prepared was fresh and catered to our vegetarian companions too. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks Jaini, Tony and the team of porters who made this a memorable trip for us!

These are your guys! I highly recommend choosing this local company. Gen at Authentic Rinjani was amazing from the get go. He is really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for the hike. We loved the accomodation at Sembulan (to stay the night before the hike) – it has the most incredible view of the mountains. Transport from the port to the accomodation was included, and this was so helpful! Gen is a local man, who hires local guides and local porters. His story is really beautiful. He has been hiking this volcano since he was 6 years old, and cares a lot about taking care of Rinjani and supporting the local economy. There are many other companies out there, but this one stood out to me and I’m so glad we chose Gen. Thank you!!

We did two day trek to the crater rim, and we had a great experience! The service was all in all very smooth. We had pickup from the airport to our homestay for the night before, and when we arrived a guy from the company was there, ready to explain everything and answer any questions. Our porters were in front of the others, and secured a great spot for our tent. They also cooked delicious food for every meal. We definitely recommend going with Authentic Rinjani Trekking Company!
